Jenn Shoenfelt, LMT
I received my certification in massage therapy from the Baltimore School of Massage in 2010. I am nationally certified, Pa licensed and a certified member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.
Within the last year I have been advancing my training in John Barnes MYOFASCIAL RELEASE (MFR) , which is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Ask me about it!
I have had the opportunity to work in different settings. The chiropractor's office dealt mostly with what I call "quick fixes", where I handled personal injury claims; whiplash, thoracic outlet syndrome, and carpal tunnel to name a few. It was only a matter of time before I began missing the relaxing and nurturing style of swedish massage and soon found myself working at a day spa for two years. During that time I went to work for a center specializing in Myofascial Release therapy where I broadened my skills helping those dealing with chronic pain. I was so impressed with the lasting results that I decided to learn more about it! But deep down I realized the best training is found in each individual I experience. And so the quest goes on.......
